Outside Lands Music and Art Festival 2012

For anyone living in or visiting the Bay Area, Outside Lands Music and Art Festival is definitely a good buy. Not only are you right in the Golden Gate Park for three beautiful summer days, but the headliners reach through to multiple genres including acts like Skrillex, Metallica, Stevie Wonder, Jack White, Foo Fighters, Beck, Justice and City and Colour.

Normally the 3-day pass is $165 which is very well priced for what you're getting. But now since the festival is coming up (August 10th-12th) tickets have been raised to $225. I think it's still worth it if you're 21 considering they have a lineup of local wineries to try, comedians all three days and curated artists' work all over the festival grounds.

Sasquatch Music Festival

If anyone is in the Washington area May 25th-28th, The Sasquatch Music Festival is definitely worth checking out. The festival lineup includes (among many others):

Jack White
Beck
Bon Iver
Pretty Lights
Tenacious D
The Shins
Beruit
Girl Talk
The Roots
Feist
Nero

I would be most excited to see Jack White, Bon Iver, Nero and Girl Talk! The difference with this festival is that 4 days rather than 3 for $315. I don't see anything about buying single day tickets ... maybe they're sold out?

The outdoor venue, The Gorge Ampitheatre has won many awards for being the Best Outdoor Music Venue and I believe it based on the view alone! They should offer camping for the four days! Check out this beautiful landscape, its the perfect backdrop for watching your favorite artists.
